{"id":446,"date":"2024-04-01T10:50:15","date_gmt":"2024-04-01T01:50:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.glocom.ac.jp\/en\/?post_type=researcher&#038;p=446"},"modified":"2024-08-08T16:22:34","modified_gmt":"2024-08-08T07:22:34","slug":"masato-ito","status":"publish","type":"researcher","link":"https:\/\/www.glocom.ac.jp\/en\/researcher\/446","title":{"rendered":"Masato Ito"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>My field of research is institutions and policies related to the &#8220;Mobility&#8221; of people, goods, capital, and information, and how to achieve sustainable local communities, from sociology and policy studies.<\/p>\n<p>I have been specialized in research on the promoting urban-to-rural migration and settlement, tourism development, and rerated population strategies. <\/p>\n<p>In today&#8217;s post-modern society, we need to recognize regions as fluid, changing entities, rather than fixed, static entities. However, conventional institutions, policies, and business have not adequately responded to these changes.<\/p>\n<p>My approach involves identifying the social structures and dynamics that shape contemporary regions and mobility patterns. I then develop medium- to long-term policy recommendations for companies and governments based on these insights.<\/p>\n<p>I excel in planning and managing projects that involve multiple stakeholders
